Me having some serious fun with a toilet. Done for a class project.

One  illustration a day is some hard work, I can tell…

Just a short one because it´s late: We survived our very first week in the new appartment. No victims of starvation yet. We didn´t quite expect that, thinking about that our kitchen´s arriving some time in october. My imagination makes me believe that it´s somewhat better than the camping cooker on a stool we´re working with right now.

This years birthday present, by the way, was a one day trip to Phantasialand. I think I´m addicted to theme parks now. That´s what we did on wednesday. Today we did the family part with the Yeti family. Mr. Yeti madehis almost legendary mashed potatoes and in the evening we got an awesome two man accoustic concert featuring him and his former neighbour.

Plus, last but not least, I finished the completely new Woohoo and Good Night!

We were at a flea market last weekend to find some nice vintage lamps for sleeping room and kitchen. Here´s what we got:

Lamp No1

Lamp No2

The first one was 10€, the second one 4€. I don´t know much about No. 1, but the other one was made by Häve before 1992. Any ideas about the decade, anyone?

Oh, and then there was this little cutie:

I hope it says something naughty ;]

Some pictures of a little book  I did for last semesters layout class:

Gut Mord! Cover

Gut Mord!

Gut Mord!

I was heavily influenced by 50´s horror as you may can tell. The foot on the cover belongs to my cousin, all pictures used in the book were made by me. I really had some fun making this.

this scene from “Rocko´s modern life” was cut out. Seriously, no kid would have understood it and everyone who would missed a nice little laugh. I mean…”No tell motel”? How great is that?

Ummm, what else. Oh yeah, right, I got a new job. Woooohooo. Now I have to find some black jeans that don´t scream “Look at me, I´m a friggin Jabba fairy!”.
I also finished my first “real” book. It´s not gonna be published or anything, I just did the whole thing by myself. Layout, photography, production, all that stuff. I´ll upload pictures of the finished thing tomorrow I hope. (I think I´m gonna make some sketchbooks for my dawanda too.)

And now: Music!

Scarscabs new record “Under the system of mass destruction” is gonna be released on Saturday and if you´re into modern thrash metal you should definately go and check their myspace. You can listen to the first new song there. Listen to it loud. Wear headphones! And then go and buy the cd, because the sound of this thing is so damn awesome it´s gonna blow your head off of your shoulders.
And this, by the way, is Mr. Yeti ,doing what he does best, doing it as hot as he can:

You may also check out “moewatch”. It´s hilarious!

Made out of balloons, sand and permanent markers.

“The brain that wouldn´t die”. Well, let´s just say that I expected a bit more. I really liked the idea of it. The mad scientist and that talking head without a body. And the plastic brain at the beginning looked like it´d be a lot of fun first. But then nothing much happened. And the ending…are you serious? What was that? I don´t need buckets of blood and guts flying around, but a horror movie should be a little bit scary when it comes to the big final, shouldn´t it? Even in the sixties. In fact the movie poster´s scarier than the movie itself.

Oh, and what an awesome contest! I think I´m not gonna finish anyting within the deadline, but I´m definately gonna do a portrait of myself at the age of 100 soon. Woohooo!

And now, worship the Three Wolf Moon for it brings you power and money and sexiness and all that stuff women love about men.

We just started cleaning out the first closets to avoid the big stress when it comes to moving. So Mr. Yeti looked through his boxes and found those:

How awesome is that? They were given to him by a japanese friend. The biggest size he could find, but unluckily still to small for my boyfriend. Not to small for me, though. They fit perfectly and even got a very small heel! And the straps are made of some strange material. It feels kinda synthetic but on the other hand it´s got some nice texture and Mr. Yeti told me that they´d smell like fish when he first got them. I have no idea.
We also found a wonderful japanese fan with pink flowers and some inspiring japanese paper products that finally gave me an idea for my “cookie box completely made out of paper” project. The preview inside my head looks great. A bit kitschy, but great. The biggest difficulty for me is to avoid any sort of glue as far as possible because I´m not that sure about the effects of glue on ones health.

Right now we´re having something like a zombie weekend. Last night we watched “Night of the living dead“. I loved it, Mr. Yeti thought it was shabby. Ok, Barbara was horribly annoying and Mr.Cooper had some serious problems (and I´m not talking about zombies)  but the second half of the movie was a nice mix of wow and wtf?!. I definately didn´t see things coming. And that´s a good thing. Tonight we´re gonna have a look at “The brain that wouldn´t die“. It sounds awesomely frankensteinesk. Is there anything better than some good old black and white horror?
